RF605 – ultra-compact laser sensors with a range from 50 to 500 mm. How it works

Principle of optical triangulation is based on the sensor. The radiation from the semiconductor laser 1 is focused on the objective 2 on the object 6. The objective 3 scattered by the object is collected on the CCD ruler 4. The signal processor 5 calculates the distance to the object from the position of the image of the light spot on the ruler 4.
Application
Triangulation laser sensors are used for high-precision non-contact measurement:

  • thickness / width;
  • size of the object;
  • beats;
  • profile of the object;
  • object movement;
  • sorting the objects.
