The GLOBAL S Coordinate measuring Machine (CMM) provides measurement performance, meeting the most diverse production requirements, which include speed, accuracy and versatility.

The GLOBAL S coordinate measuring machine, developed by the Pininfarina industrial design house, is equipped according to the Enhanced Productivity Series – EPS concept of increasing productivity.

The GLOBAL S coordinate measuring machine combines technologies created on the basis of user experience, modern software and functions that allow creating metrological solutions of three levels: Green, Blue and Chrome.

The GLOBAL S coordinate measuring machine, thanks to the use of EPS concepts, allows you to choose: productivity, accuracy, flexibility or the ability to perform measurements in shop conditions, as well as equip the machine with a set of functions that best meet the specified criteria. The GLOBAL S can also be equipped with the SF (Shop-Floor)” Shop Protection ” kit for greater protection in shop conditions.

Thanks to the adaptive technology platform, GLOBAL S ensures that quality engineers who develop measurement programs, operators who perform inspections, and quality managers who analyze data will receive the solution necessary for continuous improvement of the production process.

Features and benefits

Precision high-speed scanning
Technology Compass, delivered as part of the Chrome package, is an advanced vibration reduction system that guarantees the accuracy of measurements even with high-speed scanning. The optimized combination of software and hardware allows you to increase the performance of the CMM without having to compromise the metrological characteristics.

Improved scanning along an arbitrary trajectory
Thanks to the improved Scan Pilot firmware algorithm, the GLOBAL S machine is able to scan along the most complex arbitrary trajectories at high speed, processing even parts with sharp surface changes.

Optimization of the machine trajectory
The Fly2Mode trajectory control technology automatically optimizes the movement between measurement points and reduces the idle time of the machine. The program execution time can be reduced by almost 10%.

Automatic power saving
Thanks to the function Eco Mode, the GLOBAL S machine automatically turns off the power and saves electricity during downtime, increasing energy efficiency, but at the same time constantly keeping the machine ready for operation. Operating costs are reduced without compromising performance and efficiency.

Air consumption saving function
Function Eco Mode+ reduces the cost of ownership by stopping the supply of compressed air after a period of inactivity. This function on the GLOBAL S KIM model is supplied together with the Eco Mode function, which allows you to save electricity consumption.

Warning lights
The GLOBAL S light alarm system consists of LEDs installed on the machine, allowing you to monitor the condition of the machine visually, even at a distance. This means that the CMM can be left to perform measurements, which will allow the operator to optimally manage his time and manage resources.

Selection of sensors
The GLOBAL S machine can be equipped with sensors for various tasks, including precision contact, contact scanning and non-contact sensors, as well as tool change shops. In order to ensure maximum access, some sensors can be equipped with extension cords up to 800 mm long.

Improved software
GLOBAL S comes with PC-DMIS software, which allows manufacturers to receive and transmit quality parameters within the enterprise at any stage of the production process. The QUINDOS software offers a set of all the necessary tools for simple and operational control of gear parameters of any type.

Advanced data analysis
The Q-DAS application software package offers powerful tools for statistical analysis of data obtained by the GLOBAL S machine and other measuring equipment, providing a better understanding of production management processes and warning about possible problems in advance.

Environmental monitoring
PULSE uses a network of sensors to monitor in real time environmental parameters that can affect the quality of the measured data, which allows you to quickly eliminate unwanted consequences. The system registers fluctuations in temperature, humidity, vibration, as well as collisions of the probe and can automatically send warnings if the environmental thresholds have been violated.
