Optical micrometers are designed for high-precision non-contact measurement:
- width/diameter of large objects;
- clearances;
- measurements on two axes;
- object movement;
- profile of the object;
- object recognition and sorting.
How it works
The basis of the device is a shadow method. The micrometer consists of two modules: the emitter 1 and the receiver 2. The radiation of the LED 3 is collimated by the lens 4. When the object 5 is placed in the region of the collimated beam, the image of the object 5 is formed by the telecentric optical system 6 on the CCD photodetector line 7. According to the position of the shadow boundary 8 Calculates the position (size) of the object.
